The SHAS411040WU is a below-the-hook sling adjuster (hydraulic turnbuckle) made up of multiple self-contained, PLC-controlled hydraulic lifting devices, enabling a single crane to precisely position heavy and unbalanced loads. Each unit includes a double-acting hydraulic push-pull cylinder with an integrated pump and controls, so no external power pack or hoses are needed. The system has 4 cylinders with a total capacity of 485 imperial tons (about 440 tons); capacity per cylinder is 120 imperial tons. Stroke is 1000 mm (39.37 in), maximum operating pressure is 700 bar (10,000 psi), and accuracy over full stroke is 1 mm (0.04 in). Cylinder diameter is 12.4 in (315 mm) and motor size is 4 x 5 hp; the power source is 460–480 VAC, 3 ph, 60 Hz with US electrical wiring. Collapsed height is 73.03 in and extended height is 112.4 in. With the wireless remote control, a single operator can control the system from a safe distance, and each cylinder can lift or lower independently. The complete system is tested in compliance with the European lifting directive and safety requirements.
