Soft Starts

Soft starters control motor acceleration on startup and decrease mechanical wear of AC electric motors. When engaged, they reduce electrical current surge, torque, and load in the powertrain. Most units control two of the three voltage phases in the induction motor, but three-phase soft starters control the entire acceleration and deceleration process. Soft starters include built-in protection features to maintain consistent voltage during operation.
