Hydraulic PTOs and Power Units
The main purpose of a hydraulic power take-off system is to take power from the engine and divert it into parts and pieces of equipment that don't have their own unique engine, motor, or other power supply. The PTO takes power from the engine and transfers it to a hydraulic pump. The pump then uses that energy to generate hydraulic flow and pressure to drive mobile hydraulic equipment.
