AC Variable Frequency and Servo Drives
Variable frequency drives adjust the speed of an AC motor by changing the supply frequency. In pump and fan applications, controlling flow by speed rather than by throttling delivers substantial energy savings, while on conveyors and machine tools they provide soft acceleration and precise speed control.
