Progressive Cavity Pumps, also called screw or eccentric screw pumps, are positive displacement pumps used primarily with viscous or slurry applications with some solids or abrasives possible. The principle is a rotating screw forcing the liquid through accompanying elastomeric sleeve openings to create flow in the piping system. Commonly used in many industrial and waste water applications such as mud jacking, cement, polymers, shear sensitive materials, and others.
