ABHW-4S - Audible base, 520 Hz Speaker version & Temp 4/CO. Designed to produce a 520 Hz., square-wave audio signal, the Model ABHW-4S Audible (Sounder) Base from Siemens Industry Inc. is an intelligent, supervised and addressable detector base designed ideally suited for use in sleeping areas of a building. Model ABHW-4S can also be powered in a traditional four-wire configuration, utilizing a notification-appliance circuit (NAC); a Siemens PAD-series NAC extender; Model ZIC-4A, or any UL/ULC Listed, 24 Volts DC power supply. There are six (6) field-configurable audible tone patterns, while two (2) volume levels are used with compatible Siemens intelligent detectors and FACPs. The tone patterns (Steady; Temporal 3 pattern; and Canadian March Time 30) are supported by each intelligent audible (sounder) base for sleeping areas. When used in conjunction with other listed, compatible Siemens fire-safety components, Model ABHW-4S may be used in lieu of single / multiple station smoke alarms to achieve enhanced, system-level functionality. The 520 Hz. Model ABHW-4S Audible (Sounder) Base meets the codes specified in UL268, ULC-S525 / ULC-S529 – as well as UL464 & UL2075, which includes 520 Hz., low-frequency requirements for ‘Sleeping Area'.
