CPY-HLICABLE - Replacement Cable for CPY-HLI / MXL-IQ Connection. The VESDA Series CPY-HLI High Level Communication Interface is a bi-directional communication module that interfaces Siemens Fire Safety’s MXL-IQ control panel with a VESDA detection network. The model CPY-HLI converts VESDA’s communication language to a language that can be understood by the MXL-IQ as well as converting MXL-IQ’s operating language to a language that is understood by the VESDA Network. The CPY-HLI Intelligent Interface supports a VESDA network with up to 31 Vesda LaserPlus or LaserScanner detectors for continuous operation allows for a single point of alarm and trouble reset at the MXL-IQ panel. The MXL-IQ will visually and audibly display Alert and Action alarms of the VESDA network as Troubles (Pre-alarms) at the MXL-IQ and will visually and audibly display Fire 1 as a latching Alarm at the MXL-IQ. The interface also provides for graphical displays of smoke levels and airflow levels on the MXL-IQ LCD display, a supervised connection between CPY-HLI and NIM-1W The CPY-HLI must be mounted within 6 feet of the MXL-IQ enclosure (fixed conduit). The Installer only required to use one communication cable to connect VESDA network with the MXL-IQ with and RS-232 connection between MXL-IQ and CPY-HLI. This is required for all AT&T installations. Meets UL 864 requirements. UL and ULC Listed, and CSFM and NYMEA.
