CPY-SRST - Solenoid Reset Tool. The solenoid reset tool (CPY-SRST) was developed for use with the CPYEC-2-24 supervised solenoid. The CPYEC-2-24 solenoid has a latching pin which, when activated, locks the actuating pin in its discharge position. If the CPYEC-2-24 solenoid is attached to the Sinorix system without fully resetting the actuating pin, the Sinorix system can be prematurely discharged. In the industry, it is common practice to remove the solenoid from the valve and simulating a release. After actuating the CPYEC-2-24, the actuating pin must be placed back into its normal position prior to installation onto the valve. Siemens suggests that prior to any installation, the CPY-SRST tool be used to ensure that the actuating pin is fully reset in its operational state. The CPY-SRST tool is designed for direct attachment to the CPYEC-2-24. When the CPY-SRT is fully screwed into the CPYEC-2-24, the user can ensure that the actuating pin has been reset to prevent accidental discharge of the Sinorix system.
