Enerpac SLS2 SafeLink SEND Unit

SLS2 is the SEND unit with external antenna of the SafeLink wireless communication system. It provides wireless communication between the fixture-mounted SEND unit and the RECEIVE unit interfaced with the machine control. The unit operates on the 2.4 GHz global standard frequency, with 21 dBm conducted transmit power and an IP67 rating (dust tight, immersion up to 1 meter). The output is +24 VDC NMOS sinking. The RECEIVE unit input power is +10 to +30 VDC supplied by the machine control, and the receiver supports Modbus RTU RS485, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP protocols. If the pressure switch on the fixture opens, the RECEIVE unit communicates the status change to the machine control, which can interrupt the machining process. The SEND unit can also be used with limit switch based position sensing clamps to verify clamped or unclamped status in robotically loaded systems.
