About This Product

RP70A is a lightweight hydraulic rail stressor designed for railway maintenance crews. It has a pull capacity of 70 tons (683 kN), a push capacity of 35 tons (440 kN), a stroke of 205 mm, a maximum operating pressure of 8,400 psi and a weight of 205 kg. Its country of origin is the Netherlands. The unit pulls heavy railroad tracks together for stressing and thermite welding and adjusts the gap between rail ends. It is used for rail welding, repairing rail failures and servicing insulators. Aluminium cylinders with rod sleeves protect against weld splatter. It assembles as a modular kit without tools. It can be used with the battery-powered pump and an optional transportation and storage frame, and is interchangeable with other types of powerpacks.
