About This Product

MST is a multi stud tensioning system that tensions every stud in a joint at the same time. By applying a predictable and accurate pre-load to all studs, problems associated with conventional bolt tightening are avoided. The system is designed in segments, so the operator can quickly connect each segment to the joint and link them together for simultaneous loading. It provides a fast and accurate closure system for large tensioning applications such as pumps, valves and steam generators. Typical applications include manway, hand hole and inspection covers and coolant pumps in nuclear facilities. Special ram areas and lightweight materials can reduce bolting time by up to 75%. For on-site handling, it can be supplied with an integral lifting frame and trolley.
