Enerpac JS500 500 Ton Jack-Up System

The JS500 is a custom-developed multi-point jack-up lifting system in the JS series of Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology. Capacity per tower is 500 metric tons (5000 kN; listed as 550 imperial tons in the source data). A typical setup places four jack-up units, one under each corner of the load. The lifting frame of each unit contains four hydraulic lifting cylinders, one in each corner. The load is lifted in increments using stacked steel barrels, which are slid into the system and stacked to form 'lifting towers'. The system is operated and controlled by a computer control unit. Technical values: unit weight 13,750 kg, base frame 2800 x 2300 x 1700 mm, electric power pack 30 kW (40 hp), maximum lifting speed about 4 m/h (13 ft/hr), maximum sideload 4% at 15 m. Used for lifting, lowering and holding applications.
