Cylindrical Bearings

Cylindrical roller bearings carry heavy radial loads and light thrust loads at high speeds. They also accommodate fast acceleration. Cylindrical roller bearings are the most basic type of roller bearing and use rollers instead of balls as a rolling element. These rollers are slightly crowned and have a greater length than width. Most cylindrical roller bearings are single row with a cage that houses and spaces the rollers. They are ideal for heavy radial loads at high speeds. Full-complement bearings do not contain a cage, and as a result, often house additional rollers. This design works well with heavier loads at lower speeds. High-capacity cylindrical roller bearings are designed to handle the heaviest loads at high speeds.
